However, whenever people talk about sea moss, they are specifically talking about a single type of moss. The most commend moss known is Chondrus crispus or better known as Irish moss. This particular moss has managed to grow in popularity recently, and plenty of people have jumped on at the opportunity to benefit from it. Irish moss has a fascinating history of being used as both a food source and a means of cure for various diseases and illnesses.

Irish moss has grown in the superfood industry although nearly three years ago, Irish moss exploded in popularity due to endorsements it received from people like Kim Kardashian and many other superstars. There are many articles promoting the benefits of Irish Sea Moss.

But let’s give credit to Dr.Sebi, the leading scientist behind Chondrus.  may have inadvertently caused this confusion by mislabeling a Jamaican sea moss as Irish moss in his presentation

Thanks to Dr. Sebi who preached about the effectiveness of Sea Moss and its wide variety of health benefits such as digestive health, mucus cleansing, thyroid hormone support, and prevention of malignant cancerous diseases, we can all reap benefits.

Here are the steps to making sea moss lemonade

First make Sea Moss Gel

Making the gel is very simple. It comes down to rinsing and soaking the dried moss, which transforms into very gelatinous strands. It’s then blended in a blender with a little until smooth and creamy.

Next, juice your lemons

Squeeze the juice of 3 lemons and add it to 2 quarts of water.  I prefer fresh squeezed lemons over bottled lemon juice.

Add Sea Moss Water

The water used to soaked your dried sea moss is loaded with vitamins and minerals also, adding into this lemonade is a must.

Now it’s time for your sea moss gel

Sea moss gel can be hard to get down on its own, but adding it to a drink will make for a tasty and enjoyable beverage.
